Adrian Ramos opens up about former coach Thomas Tuchel

Adrian Ramos played under Thomas Tuchel from 2015 to 2017 said that although he liked Thomas Tuchel’s passion ; it wasn’t well received by some of his teammates. Ramos believes that Tuchel’s intense team talks stems from the fact that he is very passionate about his playing style.

Thomas Tuchel spent considerable amount of time at Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint Germain before making the switch to Chelsea. At both these clubs he was highly successful having won numerous silverware.

However his interaction with players sometimes made him an enemy as he would speak without limits. But Ramos was quick to point out that Tuchel never meant anything personal when he criticised players.

Thomas is obsessed with football and places extremely high demands on his players, especially from a tactical point of view. Anyone who does not meet these requirements has a problem. Then Thomas can get very loud very quickly and sometimes says things that hurt.

Unfortunately, it is normal that one or the other in this business quickly feels trodden on, but I never had the feeling that he was trying to attack someone personally with his criticism. I got on well with his style. Others don’t. One thing is clear to me: if I become a coach one day, I will certainly not yell as much as Thomas.”
