Former Manchester City left back Angelino has criticised manager Pep Guardiola and has said that the Spanish coach killed his confidence and didn’t give him enough opportunities to prove himself.

Angelino speaks on Pep Guardiola

The Spanish left back joined Manchester City in 2019 after spending an impressive season on loan at PSV Eindhoven the last year. With regular Bernard Mendy injured, Angelino had to step up and fill the left back position.
However Pep Guardiola Gabe him only six first team appearances and not much time to prove his capabilities. Angelino believes he deserved more time at Manchester City.

He’s currently under coach Julian Nagelssman at RB Leipzig who have permanently signed him earlier this month. Speaking on the two coaches Angelino says one trusted him wherein one didn’t.
After my move from Eindhoven back to City, he had already judged me on two pre-season games and then didn’t give me a real chance again. Pep has killed me and my self-confidence,” Angelino told reporters.”So I was happy that I moved to Leipzig and that I am now an integral part of the club.”
