Oleksandr Usyk majorly outclassed Tyson Fury in their DAZN Pay-per-view (PPV) rematch, live from Riyadh. Unlike the first time around, Fury fought tooth and nail this time around. Safe to say, the Brit is not happy with the way his championship rematch went on the scorecard. However, Usyk, humble as ever, had a rare shine in his post-fight presser.
The British boxing star fell short once again; Fury came in second with the Ukrainian logging a lopsided 116-112 on all three judges’ scorecards. He felt he had done enough to get the nod. Hence, Fury and boxing promoter Frank Warren even dissed Usyk for getting an early Christmas gift on the scorecards.
Still undefeated and dominant in the top two-tier brand weight classes, Usyk left much to talk about. He was asked if there is any boxer right now that he cannot beat. After a momentary pause, “The Cat” delivered the cold truth for once. Otherwise super humble, even the fans liked what they heard.
The Ukrainian boxing champion defended his WBA, WBO, and WBC titles in style and with constant pressure. Boxing veterans lauded Fury for being better this time around. But Usyk too ramped up the effort better all around.
Cold moment ? @usykaa

‘The Gypsy King’ performed leaps and bounds, skill to skill, and lasted the stretch. WBC requires both boxers to rest for three days for every round fought. This means that they both face a total substantiated amount of 36-day clinical suspension and much-needed rest. For now, though, the boxing clique has this instant classic in their attention.
Boxing social media reacts to Oleksandr Usyk title rematch win vs. Tyson Fury
Oleksandr Usyk does it again and again. The Usky vs. Fury rematch had on the line the WBC, WBA, and WBO heavyweight straps. The Ukrainian heavyweight boxer won their first go at each other dominantly, via split decision. Hence, this time around, Tyson Fury promised a whole world of hurt and delivered with quite a performance. Although a KO did not come to be from both sides, it was a constant clinical showing.
Usyk outpointed him with a split decision back in May and now has edged out the former WBC Lineal yet again. He also has two logged wins against Brit KO artist Anthony Joshua and even Daniel Dubois. With yet another dominance, here are a few top reactions from the combat sports world:
Congratulations Usyk, you are a gentleman and a scholar. Tyson my amigo, back to the drawing board. YOU WILL BE BACK!!

Fury maintains he won the first fight and is willing to go the length for this one too. There is expectedly some friction to persist about that. However, there is no doubt that both boxers gave it their all in this rematch. When asked about a trilogy, the Brit boxer kept it open-ended. If and when it does happen, one can expect another 12 rounds of fireworks for sure.
