Travis Hunter shows off his dunking abilities ahead of the Alamo Bowl much to the liking of Ja Morant

It’s a common practice for elite athletes to grow up playing and dabbling in several sports. Whether it’s Michael Jordan or Deion Sanders, some athletes can seemingly do it all. However, it’s still rare for them to showcase the same level of dexterity across multiple disciplines. This year, sports fanatics are in for a treat because the Heisman Trophy winner, Travis Hunter, is proving he can.

Travis Hunter is going viral for a recent video where he effortlessly performs a between-the-legs dunk before Colorado’s basketball game against Bellarmine. Additionally, another video from a couple of months ago has resurfaced, showing him displaying impressive handles during a pick-up game. This made Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant react along with the fans.

Ja Morant co-signed fans’ demands to see the Heisman winner in a slam-dunk contest with two simple words: “Elite Feet.” In yet another clip, Hunter’s teammate Shedeur Sanders threw him an off-the-glass lob, which Hunter finished with a one-handed dunk.

Fans were surprised to learn how good Travis Hunter is at basketball. Some joked that he could be drafted into the NBA just as easily as he could into the NFL. With such raw athleticism and skill, fans wonder is there anything he can’t do. He will make his first appearance since winning the Heisman in the Valero Alamo Bowl for the last time in Buffalo jersey on the 28th of December 2024 against the BYU Cougars.

Charles Barkley reacts to Travis Hunter’s desire to play both ways in the NFL

Charles Barkley is never one to shy away from speaking his mind. In last episode of Inside the NBA, Barkley had a candid conversation with a former cornerback, Champ Baily, about Travis Hunter‘s stubborn wish to play on both offense and defense in the NFL. Despite being Hunter’s fan, Charles Barkley sounded skeptical of his ability to do so.

He says he 100% wants to play both ways in the pros. It’s just too physically demanding. It’s not playing against boys in college, you’re playing against grown a*s men in the NFL.

While Barkley’s skepticism is understandable, fans and analysts alike are eager to see how Hunter’s career unfolds, especially after seeing him perform a between-the-legs dunk of Vince Carter’s ease. His exceptional athletic ability and determination make him a rare generational talent.

Whether Hunter decides to play on both sides of the ball or chooses to specialize, only time will tell. In the upcoming Alamo Bowl, fans can expect Hunter to show off one last time in what will be his farewell to college football before starting his NFL career.
