‘Triple C vs The Olympic Bronze Medalist’ – Henry Cejudo teases a fight with Floyd Mayweather
Henry Cejudo is back with his callouts. This time he has called out one of the greatest boxers of all time – Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather. There have been quite a few MMA-Boxing crossover fights and Henry Cejudo looks to jump into that trend as well. It is to be noted that ‘Triple C’ recently got his name removed from the USADA testing pool recently.
Taking to twitter, Cejudo tweeted that the fight was going down, referring to Floyd Mayweather as the ‘Olympic Bronze Medalist’. However, Cejudo is no stranger to calling out fighters on social media. He once called out Heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou who is umpteen times heavier than him.
‘It’s going down’ – Henry Cejudo
“It’s going down! The Triple C Vs The Olympic bronze medalist @FloydMayweather #staytune” Cejudo tweeted.
Mayweather is expected to take on YouTube star Logan Paul in a boxing match, soon. The fight was first scheduled to take place on the 20th of February, but later postponed due to the business side of things. Although a date hasn’t been announced since then, a fight in the near future looks certain.
Henry Cejudo, on the other hand, retired from the UFC after beating Dominick Cruz at UFC 249. After flirting with a possibility of a comeback since then, he recently removed himself from the USADA testing pool, which confirmed his retirement.
What are your thoughts on this matchup? Will we see the two fight in the near future?
