Golden State Warriors most underrated forward Andrew Wiggins suggests marquee player Stephen Curry as a major game changer in the upcoming 2020-21 season. The Warriors would be without their 3-point expert Klay Thomspon. This means there would be added responsibility on the shoulders of Kelly Oubre Jr, Draymond Green and Andrew Wiggins.
Curry was a part of only 5 games before he was ruled out of the entire season because of his left-hand injury. He played for 27 minutes to put 23 points on the board. Whereas Wiggins dropped a double-double of 21 points and 10 rebounds. They lost that game by an 8-point margin against the Raptors, but it gave a young Wiggins an idea of how great it was to share the court with Curry.
“Getting a chance to learn from him, is more important” Andrew Wiggins on Stephen Curry
In a recent interview as per essentially sports, Wiggins said, “I’m very excited having Steph Curry back. He’s someone that can do everything for us. Once he steps on the floor, just his presence is a game-changer. Him on the floor is a game-changer. Just getting a chance to play alongside him and learning, seeing how he does certain stuff, that’s most important.”
Wiggins’ jumping ability is extraordinary, and that helps him defend the rim very efficiently. His big-man physique also helps him absorb brutal physical contact when guarding inside the lane. He still has to improvise on his three-point shooting, but that can be done with Curry as his mentor.
Dubs will play their preseason opener against the Nuggets, and fans will hope that these two will play alongside.
