“He’s disgusting,” Anthony Smith is not happy with Jake Paul’s recent comment about his early “CTE”
Anthony Smith on Jake Paul
Youtuber turned boxer Jake Paul is going to compete against former UFC fighter Ben Askren. Jake Paul has claimed that he is already showing earlier signs of “CTE”, and it looks like this comment doesn’t sit well with Anthony Smith.
Paul is (2-0) in his boxing career. In his recent interview he said, “Yes and no. It’s a dangerous sport. That’s why, when people question my dedication to it, it’s like, I’m showing up every single day. I’m putting my mental health on the line; my brain is on the line. Like you said, I’ve gone and gotten brain scans and (I) have early signs of CTE.”
He further added, “But I love this sport and wouldn’t trade it for anything else. I’m a fighter and people will see that whether it’s after Saturday night or whether it’s a year from now they will see that I’m a fighter.”
This comment doesn’t sit well with Anthony Smith, and he said, “My take: 1. He’s exactly as stupid and careless as we all thought. 2. Lying about this to be cool or whatever shows his absolute disrespect for the real fighters and their families that have and will suffer from the very real, devastating effects of CTE. He’s disgusting.”
Ben Askren’s coach says losing to Jake Paul is the last thing they want
Ben Askren’s coach says that people think Ben Askren is doing this for the money and that is most certainly not the case, and losing to Jake Paul is the last thing they want.
He said that he has this awkward strength and this awkward boxing style that will help him in the fight, and they will get this in the bag for sure.
