‘He’s gonna get sparked again in the first round… he’s completely washed up and has no chin anymore and no heart’ – Colby Covington predicts Conor McGregor will wallop Dustin Poirier at UFC 257
Colby Covington gave his verdict for the highly anticipated Conor McGregor vs Dustin Poirier 2 at UFC 257 on the 23rd of January, 2021. He tipped his former teammate Dustin Poirier to lose badly to the Irishman, just like the way he had lost to him back in 2014.
Speaking in an interview, Colby Covington predicted a cakewalk for Conor McGregor, adding that “The Notorious” will finish Dustin Poirier in the very first round.
“My best fake friend Dustin Sorrier” – Colby Covington
Speaking to Submission Radio, Colby Covington was quoted as saying, “My best fake friend Dustin Sorrier. All I can say guys, is you guys make sure you got the Kleenex ready at the press conference, because you know Dustin Sorrier is gonna break down on the mic, he’s gonna cry to the world, get everybody to feel sympathy and feel bad for him. He’s gonna get sparked again in the first round, because he’s completely washed up and has no chin anymore and no heart.” [via MMA Junkie]
Further “It’s not gonna be competitive. I think Conor’s just gonna spark him first round. Just get the Kleenex ready, cause Dustin’s gonna be crying up a storm at the press conference and getting everybody to feel bad for him. ‘Wah-wah, feel bad for me, I didn’t accomplish my dream.’ Yeah, cause you’re a (expletive). You didn’t work hard enough for it. What is up with society these days? People think that everyone should get a participation trophy. Dustin needs his safe space. Go in your safe space, Dustin.” [via MMA Junkie]
Conor McGregor is coming off a marauding victory over Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone earlier this year at UFC 246, when he made his comeback from retirement. And, now he looks like he is in the shape of his life and Dustin must be wary of that. Dustin, on the other hand, is coming off a brutal bloodbath against Dan Hooker, winning via. unanimous decision. Though, the American is a much improved fighter since his first match against Conor McGregor, he will have to dig extremely deep to upset the Irishman.
Do you agree with Colby Covington’s prediction?
