Terrance McKinney reacts to his first-round TKO loss at the hands of Drew Dober

Terrance McKinney praises Drew Dober after failing to register a win against the veteran.

McKinney took the short notice fight against Dober at UFC Fight Night 203 as Ricky Glenn had to pull out after a groin injury. He made his UFC debut against Matt Frevola at UFC 263 and after that, he won another fight against Fares Ziam. For him, it was a great opportunity to continue his winning streak and gain some attention by defeating someone like Dober.

Dober has been in the UFC since 2013 and has made a solid record for himself. But he failed to impress fight fans in his last two Octagon appearances. Coming into he was under pressure but he proved why he is considered a veteran.

After an unfortunate first-round knockout loss, McKinney went to Twitter to share his thoughts on the fight.

In his official Twitter account, the fighter revealed that he has immense respect for Dober and called him tough. McKinney thanked his fans and supporters who were with him in the fight. McKinney explained that after some time in recovery he will come back in great shape again. “Respect to Dober, he’s tough ✊? I appreciate everyone who supported me, a few fixes and I’ll be back even better,” wrote McKinney.

The fight started pretty well as both the fighters started searching for openings to land strikes. ‘T.Wrecks’ connected with some knees and a surprising combination which hurt Dober. Even though it looked bad, Dober used his experience and kept his composure. After some time, Dober managed to land a nasty knee to the body of McKinney. It was enough to put the fighter on the canvas. EVen Mckinney was happy about being a part of such an amazing round. Reacting to that he wrote:

It was McKinney‘s first-ever loss in UFC after two consecutive wins. Before the fight, McKinney had a lot of support given that he had the momentum. But he failed to deliver but he is still young and new to the sport. Loses like these will help him reflect on his gameplay and be a better fighter.
