The youngest American gymnast Hezly Rivera was removed from the final events in gymnastics at the Paris Olympic Games. She unfortunately did not qualify for the individual races, coming 12.633 on the balance beam and 13.900 on the uneven bars.
While the results could have been acceptable, they were not enough for her to qualify for the Olympic Games finale. However, Team USA coaches can select an individual despite them scoring low numbers for the final team, but in this case, they seemed to have stuck with the rules.

As per the final roster, Simone Biles, and Jordan Chiles will be competing in all four events, while Suni Lee will participate in three excluding the vault for their final run. Another teammate Jade Carey also had to pull back due to an illness, and will only be competing on the vault.
The fans are cheering for Team USA to win another gold for the U.S. It can very well be possible as Biles currently holds a record of 59.566, putting Team USA five points ahead of their rivals Italy.
Social media reacts to Hezly Rivera’s disqualification from gymnastics finals
After the main roster was released, Hezly Rivera put a post on social media, capturing her mom and dad from the stands, noting, “Blessing Family.” She put the quote on her Instagram stories and expressed how grateful she was to have them there.

Rivera’s disqualification brought many questions among fans who argued whether they should have added her to at least one event or not for the final games. She was the youngest athlete to participate in the Olympics this year at 16 years old.
Set in stone, ready to bring it home. ⤵️

Well it’s a 4 person team, Hezly you are not deserving of the medal that this team gets.

I feel bad for Hezly, but this is the right choice.

hezly did great yesterday working through the nerves! now she's got her olympic sea legs about her. she can rock this next quad ?
Why would you put all that pressure on Jordan who also needs to be her best going into floor to have the confidence for floor finals. We literally won by 6 points. It’s not fair to Hezley and her family who traveled all this was to see their daughter.

What was the point of giving Hezley a spot on the Olympic team if she is not going to do anything in the team final. I am sad for her

Her parents, one of her biggest supporters, Henry Rivera said that “we couldn’t be more excited” to watch Hezly perform in the Olympics. He said standing on the big stage alone is enough, and being the youngest of them all to do so is something, “you can’t take that away from her, ever.”
