Udinese boss Kosta Runjaic responds to questions surrounding Lorenzo Lucca’s penalty
Udinese boss Kosta Rinjaic was cut out a frustrated figure on the sidelines, as he watched over forward Lorenzo Lucca arguing with the other players over a penalty. While Lucca’s converted his penalty in a match-winning moment, he was later punished by the manager.

Lorenzo Lucca’s stubbornness angered Rinjaic, who addressed the questions over the player’s behavior after the match. The 53-year-old German boss confirmed that the club has a clear hierarchy in penalty kicks, and it ought to be followed in matches. Despite commending Lucca’s efforts, Rinjaic noted that the Udinese players took too much time, and hoped to solve the issues during training.
We have clear hierarchies with penalty kicks. I didn’t like the discussion, they were talking for a long time, he made the decision independently and I preferred to take him off the pitch after he took the penalty.
