The BMF title fight at UFC 300 was an absolute banger and had everyone in the crowd off their seats. Naturally, the T-Mobile arena was filled with many UFC superstars who came to see the historic event. It had the fans wanting for more and it wasn’t any different for Dricus Du Plessis. 

A video of Dricus Du Plessis interacting with Sean O’Malley and his coach Tim Welch has gone viral after UFC 300. In the video, Welch can be heard mentioning to Du Plessis that the BMF fight was actually five rounds.  Du Plessis, who was unaware of the information, looked surprised as well as hyped. 

I would wish for a fifth round. Is this a five round fight? Holy f******* shit. Yes.

Du Plessis was initially approached by the promotion to defend his middleweight belt at UFC 300. The fighter had an injury and knew he wouldn’t be fight-ready with six weeks’ notice so refused the offer. However, DDP was at the octagon side and had an amazing time watching the fights as a fan.

The South African had a blast at the T-Mobile Arena as he was invited to watch UFC 300. The reigning middleweight champion showed up with his title and got an incredible reaction from the fans. The fighter watched the fights and had several interactions with other superstars.

As such, DDP got the opportunity to meet the interim UFC heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall and both shared a wholesome moment. The fighters also got into a friendly scuffle and Aspinall joked about Du Plessis’s strength.
