Hollywood actor Timothee Chalamet and his girlfriend and make-up mogul Kylie Jenner followed in Zendaya and boyfriend Tom Holland‘s footsteps as they attended the ongoing Indian Wells Open. They watched Frenchman Ugo Humbert‘s third-round match against Holger Rune.

Rune came from a set down to clinch the win with scores of 5-7, 6-4, 7-5 to book a spot in the fourth round. It was the Dane’s second win over a Frenchman in the tournament, for he had kick-started his Sunshine Doubles campaign against Corentin Moutet.

While Rune was battling it out, Chalamet, who was nominated for the Academy Awards for Best Actor for his role as Bob Dylan in movie ‘A Complete Unknown’, watched on from the stands. He and Jenner made their public debut as a couple back in 2023 when they attended the US Open Men’s final between Novak Djokovic and Daniil Medvedev.

The couple watched Rune clinch a 4-0 head-to-head record over Humbert. After the victory, Rune took to X to react to the two celebrities attending his match.

Last year, Zendaya, who starred in the 2024 movie Challengers, attended the ATP Masters 1000 even in the California desert. She, along with Holland watched the Women’s final between Iga Swiatek and Maria Sakkari, as well as the Men’s final between Carlos Alcaraz and Medvedev.

Holger Rune to face Stefanos Tsitsipas for a spot in quarterfinals

Holger Rune last lifted a title in 2023. In April of that year, he secured a three-set win over Botic van de Zandschulp in the ATP 250 event in Munich.

Since then, Rune reached just two finals, in the 2023 Italian Open and the 2024 Brisbane International. The World No.13 hasn’t yet made deep runs in tournaments this season. He entered Indian Wells after his exit in the round of 16 of the Mexican Open due to food poisoning.

Rune has now a daunting task ahead of him in the form of World No.9 Stefanos Tsitsipas. Even though Rune has won all three matches he played against the Greek, the latter is enjoying a purple patch, as he ended his trophy drought by lifting the Dubai Open by beating Felix Auger-Aliassime last week.

The two-time Grand Slam finalist carried his form to Indian Wells. He started his campaign by breezing past Thiago Seyboth Wild. Tsitsipas then moved into the fourth round with a straight-set win over Matteo Berrettini.
