New Orleans Saints wide receiver Chris Olave has become an embodiment of honesty after he admitted that his team isn’t good enough to record a winning season this year. He might not be the only one thinking like that about his time, but he sure is the only one to say it out loud.
With the NFL 2024 season just a month away, Chris Olave’s response to the team’s preparation has come as a shock to many. Irrespective of his individual success, the receiver seemed to have lost confidence in his team and that was well-reflected when he talked about the Steelers’ preparation for the coming 2024 season.
After recovering from a hip injury, when Olave returned to the training camp this week, he was asked about whether he has seen any play individually or by the Steelers as a whole, which made him believe that this will be a good season for them.
Uhhhh... I mean, yeah not really.Chris Olave replied
Regardless of his remark about his team, there’s no question that Olave is determined to bounce back and make an impact on his team. As the Saints gear up for the upcoming 2024 season, Olave’s performance will certainly play a crucial role in the team’s success.
Chris Olave suffers hip injury at Saints training camp
With Olave being a big part of the Saints’ offense, his injury in the training camp became a big concern for them. The wideout sustained a hip injury during Tuesday’s practice session, making him leave the practice earlier. Although he did complete the practice session, he had to go to the medical tent and did not participate in the post-practice gassers with the team.
I think he just landed on his hip. It’s hip and that’s really about all I’ve got right now.Head coach Dennis Allen said at the presser
After completing the 11-on-11 work session with the first-team offense, Olave slowly walked towards the medical tent accompanied by athletic trainers. Fortunately, in three days, the receiver made a full recovery and returned back to the training camp.
