Jaylen Brown was enjoying the highest moments of his life this past season. He went on to win the NBA title with his Boston Celtics and was named the Finals MVP. When he went around parading the Larry O’Brien trophy, he had girlfriend Kysre Gondrezick, a former WNBA star, alongside him.

Their relationship was the talk of the town as they quickly became the hottest couple in all of basketball. He was ushering as one of the next young faces of the league and shed his Paris Olympics controversy with Nike to launch his own sneaker brand.

During his relationship, he called out Kysre Gondrezick’s former boyfriend Kevin Porter Jr. for his physical abuse. He showered her with expensive gifts, and it seems the two were having the time of their lives. But a while after that, she was nowhere to be found. Now entertainment website Page Six has come up with a shocking revelation.

The duo split at the start of the NBA season, after ‘he started distancing himself to focus on ball,’ a source told Page Six. ‘No one in their circle saw it coming,’ they added. We’re told the split ‘came out of nowhere’ and shocked their pals because ‘he was so invested in her,’ the source said.

This became apparent after she did not appear courtside for any of the Boston Celtics games this season. Rumors started to swirl that the couple might have separated. Now, it all comes down to these sources telling Page Six that it is over.

Jaylen Brown believes Nike and Adidas do not do justice to athletes

The Paris Olympics debacle brought the limelight on how sneaker giants such as Nike and Adidas control certain environments. Jaylen Brown was not a Nike or Adidas athlete ahead of the Paris Olympics. Team USA invariable did not include him into the squad supposedly due to his differing views.

The fact that those are the only options and they kind of dominate the market is a part of the frustration. These are the options that you have and they all kind of stick together. They all give you the same kind of deal, and you have to accept it.

By creating that brand, he wanted to show that athletes can choose to leave those two major companies and still have their own shoe.
