WNBA and Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark celebrated her birthday differently
The most famous jersey on the Indiana Fever roster is no doubt one that sports the No. 22. Caitlin Clark has always had that number on her back as it is her birth date. Since she was born in January, that meant it was her birthday which now makes her a 23-year-old.
Growing another year after a stellar debut WNBA season meant she became one of the most popular female athletes in the world. However, the superstar has tried to keep a level head even if she has become a tad too expensive for those wanting her to grace their events.
However, not all events are charged as the Indiana Fever superstar also makes it to events where she either pays herself or is invited to. The most recent being her rendezvous with Taylor Swift during the Kansas City Chiefs Divisional round playoff game.
But on her birthday, she decided to do more than just buy gifts for herself or her friends and family. Through her Caitlin Clark Foundation, the now 23-year-old has donated 22,000 books to various children’s programs. She was quoted on her website as saying.
On Caitlin Clark's birthday, 1-22, the Caitlin Clark Foundation announces a partnership with Scholastic's national literacy program to donate 22,000 books to under-resourced schools, focusing on Iowa and Indiana.

This collaboration with Scholastic and the United States of Readers will see children across the country get access to those books. A noble cause from arguably the highest earning WNBA superstar who felt it was important to impact society in a better way.
Caitlin Clark works out on birthday
Most WNBA superstars celebrate their birthday’s by either partying or doing something for their community, or a combination of both. That is unless they have to work and therefore, play a basketball game before celebrating the birthday later.
As this is officially her offseason, Caitlin Clark could schedule her individual workouts as per her interest. However, she landed up at the Indiana Fever facilities to work with her coaches and trainers. The franchise posted a clip where she downs 50 out of 54 threes in one go.
Later on, she entered the training room to complete her warm down routine. But Fever staff could not pass up this opportunity. Therefore, they greeted her with a candle lit baked pie while singing the birthday song.

One of those celebrating her birthday was assistant coach Keith Porter. He recently shared that he expects her to destroy opponent’s next season. Caitlin Clark improving her game on her birthday and shooting from the NBA three-point line might be her way of working towards that goal.
