Myles Garrett and Chloe Kim are the latest NFL couple to grab the attention of the paparazzi. The pair turned heads in the recently concluded Winter Olympics in Milan, where Kim represented the USA in snowboarding.

Garrett and Kim first crossed paths in a public venue in Tokyo, Japan, during the 2025 Crunchyroll Anime Awards. Since that encounter, fans of both athletes have been curious about the details of their meeting and how their relationship developed.

Kim recently spilled the beans on Friday’s segment of the Not Skinny But Not Fat show. They met through a mutual connection in the fitness industry. And that friend turned out to be Kim’s physical therapist.

I was like, I can’t date anymore, like, I’m done. I’m just gonna be single forever… I was being so dramatic. I was like, I’m gonna get a sperm donor, like, I don’t need a man.

Chloe Kim said, recalling a conversation with her therapist

Kim’s friend ended up setting her up with Garrett. Their first interaction was through FaceTime when Garrett was vacationing in Cabo, Mexico. The conversation lasted for a couple of minutes before Kim dove into the workout session. To her surprise, Garrett checked up on her when the session ended.

After practice, he texted me. He was like, ‘Hey, how did it go? It’s Myles. I was like, do I have really low standards or was that sweet?

Their romance took off. But when did they finally meet each other in person? In Los Angeles, Garrett was occupied with his regular job playing for the Browns. Funny enough, Kim confused Garrett with renowned DJ Martin Garrix. She kept waiting for Garrix to show up, but he was nowhere to be seen. In the confusion, she began to cheer for the Rams.

And I’m cheering for the Rams the whole time, because I, again, think we’re there for Martin Garrix, not for somebody who plays for the Browns. And Martin Garrix never showed up, and I was like, ‘This guy is whack! Why is he not showing up to do his performance?’ And I later find out that we were there to see Myles, and not Martin.

Kim never paid much attention to football while growing up in California, but she has started to grasp the fundamentals thanks to her boyfriend. She congratulated Garrett when the 30-year-old broke the long-standing NFL sack record. “Proud of you,” Kim wrote, along with a photo of Garrett eating cinnamon rolls.

Garrett joined Kim in Milan earlier this year as she competed in the halfpipe snowboarding event. She narrowly missed out on winning the gold and had to settle for the silver medal.

Kim celebrated her medal of the season with an update on Instagram. Garrett left a message in the comment section.

So proud of you. You inspire me and so many more. The greatest to ever do it.

Later, Garrett made headlines for reasons that were easily avoidable. The two-time Defensive Player of the Year picked up a speeding ticket from the Ohio police for driving 94 MPH in a 60 MPH zone. It turned out to be his ninth ticket since entering the league back in 2017.
