Battlegrounds Mobile India: How to upgrade weapon skins in BGMI?

Battlegrounds Mobile India is undoubtedly the most popular BR title right now. One of the primary reason of its popularity is the diverse skin it provides for the weapons which can be further enhanced to get more ‘eye-catching’ skins.

Every player wishes to obtain exclusive weapon skins, they do not increase the damage capacity of the weapons but provide an astonishing appearance to the ordinary weapons. A plethora of weapon skins can be found in the Shop, crates as well as Events. Out of them, there are certain skins that can be upgraded which adds more features to the otherwise mundane weapons.

Often players wonder about how they can upgrade skins in BGMI after obtaining an upgradable weapon skin such as M416 Glacier, Seven Seas AKM etc.

How to upgrade weapon skins in Battlegrounds Mobile India?

Upgradable weapon skins are mostly found through Events, Lucky Spins as well as Crates. The rarest upgradable weapon skin i.e. M416 Glacier can be found in the Classic Crate. BGMI recently rolled out another upgradable weapon skin in BGMI which is the Gilded Jade Dragon skin of DP-28. There are different levels of upgradation for each weapon. Most of the weapons can be upgraded up to 7 levels whereas others such as Gilded Jade Dragon Skin of DP-28 can be obtained up to 5 levels. Players can upgrade skins in BGMI through the following ways:

Step 1: Open Battlegrounds Mobile India and click on Workshop. You will find many categories here, select ‘The Lab’.

Step 2: You can find a list of all the upgradable weapon skins. You can upgrade the skins of only those weapons which you’ve obtained.

Step 3: Players need to obtain the required number of Paint and Materials to upgrade their weapon skins. Players can also add matching finish to the attachments of the upgradable weapon by spending UC.

How to obtain Paint and Materials for upgrading weapon skins in BGMI?

Paint

In-game Shop

Paint is needed to upgrade the weapon skins. It can be found from the in-game shop in the Treasures Section. A isngle paint bottle costs 100 silver fragments and the weekly limit of paint bottle is set to ten. Players can also obtain paint bottle by spending UC which costs 40 UC for a single bottle.

Clan Shop

Paint bottle can also be found at the clan shop and can be bought with clan points. However, it can be unlocked only if the clan has reached the 5th level. Players will also be given 5 paint bottles once they achieve 320000 points in the Season Clan Energy Objective.

Materials

Lucky Spins

Materials are extremely rare to find in Battlegrounds Mobile India. One of the way to obtain materials is by spinning the wheels in Event section. Currently, a new Lucky Spin has been rolled out where players can get the Seven Seas AKM, players might also obtain materials after spinning the wheel.

Dismantle duplicate upgradable weapon skin

Players should open those crates which contain the upgradable weapon skin. For example- M416 Glacier is an upgradable weapon skin that can be found in the classic crate. If players have already obtained the said skin and they’re able to obtain it again, the duplicate weapon skin can be dismantled in exchange for materials
