Andrew Tate was banned from Twitter and other social media applications following his homophobic and misogynistic comments and preaching which he talked about on his podcast, and taught in his ‘hustlers university’, which has also been shut down post these bans. Undoubtedly, most of the stuff taught by Tate was not appropriate and bordered on dangerous towards women. This prompted Twitter to take action and suspend him from their platform, probing other social media apps to follow its example.

As Elon Musk takes full control of the app, he has now decided to reverse the ban placed on Andrew Tate. Musk calls himself a ‘Free speech absolutist’ meaning, a propagator of free speech for everyone, regardless of their views, political standpoint, and/or the appropriation of their content regarding the numerous communities on the internet. Twitterati is divided amongst factions of users both supporting and protesting the decision, with followers of Andrew Tate mocking those whose ideology goes against him. The major chunk of users that stand against Tate are mostly people with a liberal, left wing leaning, who are also known as the ‘woke’ crowd of Twitter. Having been the ones who canceled Andrew Tate in the first place, they are obviously not happy with this decision.

As of right now, all these accounts still stand suspended on the platform. But once Musk is settled in his role, the ban might get reversed.
