Vince McMahon Sr. fired Hogan in 1982 after he chose to star in a movie with Sylvester Stallone. However, in a conversation with Joe Rogan, He revealed he only earned $10,000 for his role in the hit film. In comparison, he made a staggering $750,000 for his legendary match against Andre the Giant, making his movie earnings seem extraordinarily low.

However, his acting career quickly declined after he seriously injured three people during filming. The following year, WWE brought him back, and he became their biggest star, headlining multiple WrestleMania events.
