George Kittle never shies away from showing his soft side to his fans. He always knows the right words to say to make someone’s day. Just like he did while talking to a young fan at the Tight End University– making himself truly deserving of the title ‘Man of the People.’
Ahead of the 2024 NFL season, where the San Francisco 49ers are one of the favorites to win the grand Super Bowl trophy, the star tight end has begun his preparation in full swing. The best place he considers to enhance his skills is by learning from his peers. For the past three years, Kittle has been organizing Tight End University to raise funds for various charities and create a learning opportunity.
After its huge success with Travis Kelce, Rob Gronkowski, and Greg Olsen as attendees, the 49ers star is preparing for his fourth annual Tight End University. A video captured from the practice has won many hearts on the internet where Kittle can be seen having a heartwarming moment with a young attendee.
I'm so happy to be standing beside you right now. I'm happy.said the young fan with overwhelming emotions standing next to the star NFL player
I'm happy too, man. Thanks for hanging out with us. You're doing a great job.George Kittle responded with the sweetest smile as they exchanged fist bumps
It was truly a wholesome moment as shared by the camp’s official Instagram handle. The Niners’ star co-founded this three-day tight-ends-only camp, along with the Kansas City Chiefs star Kelce.
George Kittle discusses tight-end transformation
Apart from off-field endeavors, Kittle is famous for bringing a lot of focus on the position he plays in– tight end. In a recent conversation with Dan Patrick, the two-time All-Pro once again highlighted the importance of his position. He talked about the evolution of his position by highlighting how it was mostly used as an extra left tackle and now holds a crucial role in the offense.
This is a position where players are versatile with many qualities– whether blocking, running routes or even catching the ball to take them into a touchdown, a tight end is an all-rounder. With the ever-evolving position, more and more young athletes are showing interest in it.
If there’s any player who can best define his position is the Chiefs’ star Kelce. The reigning Super Bowl champion entered last season with the weakest receiving corps in the league. If it wasn’t for Kelce compensating for the lack of a good wide receiver while forming a dynamic duo with quarterback Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs would not have succeeded in the Super Bowl
