‘Humble’ Noah Lyles gets POKED to ‘talk sh**’ about rival nations at Paris Olympics
Team USA athletics teammate Fred Kerley poked humble Noah Lyles to trash talk about rival nations at Paris Olympics 2024.

When one has worked hard for years to get to a point where the hard work brings them success, they are bound to be overjoyed. Sometimes that abundance of joy can lead to the person being a bit cocky. Noah Lyles is as cocky as it gets from the athletics world. Therefore, fellow Team USA 100m sprinter poked him to revert to his natural side. After all, he had just won the gold medal at the Paris Olympics 2024.
After the gold medal race, Lyles was sitting alongside silver medalist Kishane Thompson and bronze medalist Fred Kerley at the post-race press conference. A reporter asked the gold medal winner how confident he was looking towards the 200m races. To this, Lyles replied in a manner where he sounded humble and not wanting to talk trash.
Talk your sh*t man!Fred Kerley urged Noah Lyles
After this, Lyles had a wide cheeky smile on his face.
None of them is winning. When I come off the turn, they will be depressed.Noah Lyles went on to say
That sounded more like the Noah Lyles everyone knows of. Cocky, but backs it up with his performance on the track. His trash-talking started ever since he routinely topped all sprinters in the short-distance races at the 2019 Doha World Athletics Championships. He continued that trash talk all the way to Paris. Suggesting that he is the fastest man on earth, even before actually winning the gold medal at this Olympics.
Now that he has won it, Fred Kerley was only reminding him that he does not need to be humble. Rather he has all the luxury in the world to say whatever he wants. Now the world will wait to see if his exploits continue in his remaining two events.
Noah Lyles could become first sprinter since Usain Bolt to win sprint treble at Olympics
Ever since Usain Bolt retired, the world of athletics has not had a sprinting superstar. Sha’Carri Richardson fits the bill, but she fell short in her first 100m gold medal race at the Paris Olympics 2024. Noah Lyles with his win from one of the closest races in history, has cemented himself to be the new sprinting superstar.
That said, he has the chance to elevate himself to the territory still occupied by Usain Bolt. Not completely, as Bolt still holds the world record for the 100m race. Lyles has come close, but not close enough to beat Bolt’s record in the 200m event. But he will give it a try. Then comes the 4x100m relay. With the way Team USA‘s sprinters are running, winning that should be easy.
If he wins them all, then he will win the sprint treble. That will vault him into superstardom, way more than what he has currently. Then maybe Adidas will give him his signature sneaker. With all that, expect a lot more trash talk to come from the 27-year-old.
