Game 5 of this best-of-seven series will take place on Wednesday at the Lenovo Center in Raleigh. A win in this game will force a Game 6 which will see the two teams travel to Florida.
Carolina Hurricanes hoping for a miracle following Game 4 win
The Carolina Hurricanes needed a win on Monday night to keep their hopes alive. The team went out and registered a 3-0 win, while claiming a shutout against the reigning Stanley Cup Champions. They are now hoping for a miracle.

Coming from 3-0 down in a best-of-seven series is one of the hardest things in sports. Several teams have found themselves 3-0 down in sports. However, only a selected few have managed to mount a massive comeback.
In the Stanley Cup playoffs, 211 teams have gone 3-0 down in the best-of-seven series. Only 4 teams, have managed to then do a reverse sweep and go on to win the series. The last time this happened was in 2014, when the Los Angeles Kings came back from 3-0 down in the Western Conference quarterfinals to win 4-3 against the San Jose Sharks.

The Hurricanes will thus need a miracle to reach the finals. Their opponents did almost get reverse sweep in the finals before though.
Last year, the Florida Panthers found themselves 3-0 up against the Edmonton Oilers only to lose Games 4, 5, and 6. In the end, they managed to win Game 7 by a 2-1 scoreline and took home the title. So the Canes do have a slight chance of making history.
