Kim will be competing for a starting spot in the infield of the team. His move saw the Dodgers part ways with versatile player Gavin Lux. They would trade him to the Cincinnati Reds.
As for Edman, he can play in multiple positions just like Lux. Having been acquired in the middle of the season through a trade from the St. Louis Cardinals, he made a huge mark on the team. As a result of this, the Dodgers would extend his contract by five more years.
