The current era in tennis is well and truly an unprecedented and truly remarkable one. It has been completely dominated by the Big Three – Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic. The three have been absolutely ruthless with regard to their conquering of the Grand Slams. Standing on a level about the rest of the players, there has been plenty of debate over who is the better among the three.

The GOAT debate (Greatest of all time) has been going on for quite some time now and there is no clear answer to the same but only opinions. Even as Roger Federer has been on the wane recently, his spectacular achievements are second to none. Rafael Nadal has been scintillating throughout his career and his peaks especially in the French Open are impossible to match. Novak Djokovic on the other hand has also come toe-to-toe with the duo and made a case for himself as the GOAT

He said, “I think it’s a great debate to have. What Novak and Rafa have done lately is extraordinary. They’re not 25 either but they seem at the peak. For them, maybe I am the measuring stick, like Pete was for me”

Speaking further about playing at Doha, Federer said, “If I can go through a few matches here in Doha, I’m happy. Expectations are very low. I hope I can surprise myself. People think I’m only measured by titles. But that’s really a different situation.
