UFC president Dana White is the king-pin when it comes to business and there’s no doubt about it. Dana is filthy rich and he does filthy rich things. The UFC president admitted to his gambling addiction in a recent interview.
White recently spoke to ESPN about the role gambling plays in the sports world. White believes that the legalization of betting has only done good business to the MMA world. The bossman admitted that he is a “degenerate” when it comes to gambling. White says he keeps eye on betting lines and feels it’s doing good things to do the UFC.
In the interview with ESPN, I’d say it’s about time. I like it. It’s a thing people love to do. It makes whatever you’re watching a lot more fun, a lot more interesting, so I’ve always been for it. But I’m from Vegas,” White said. White also admitted that he used to gamble a lot and talks about the time he lost a million dollars over a fight.
“Oh my god. What was the kid’s name? Jermain Taylor. And who did he fight? I know this for the ass-whooping I took. He fought the tall, lanky, white kid from Ohio, Kelly Pavlik. I bet $1 million on Taylor and he got destroyed. It was the first time I ever bet 1 million dollars.” Dana said.

White admitted that he loves playing table games. He is a gambling fanatic and he admits to it. “I play table games too much. I’m a degenerate if you’re not getting it. I’m a degenerate, yes. I love to gamble,” White said.
Despite the dark side to the sport of betting, Dana White continues to support it and encourage it. The Bossman said that he will lend his support to legalization globally. Dana White believes that betting will only progress the MMA world and UFC in particular.
