“I could take some pressure of them” Seth Curry praises Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid after first practice session

Philadelphia 76ers made a great move this off season by acquiring Dallas Mavericks’ Seth Curry. The player is in awe of Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid after his first practice session with them. Seth is perhaps not as good as his brother Stephen Curry while shooting form behind an arc. But is one of the best in this era. Specially after Ben Simmons and other players from the 76ers struggling, the former could be a great fit. Not only Seth but 76ers also acquired Los Angeles Lakers’ Danny Green, who was the only player on instances for his former franchise shooting from behind the arc.
While Simmons is an excellent point guard, he is not a good shooter. He takes very few shots in the first place and makes very few of the ones he attempts. Additionally, the other players the 76ers had were not making enough points from behind the arc. Given their strategy, it led to them being thrown out by Boston Celtics 4-0 in the first round.

Seth Curry spoke to the press after his first practice session with the 76ers. Curry pointed out that he can provide the 76ers with valuable floor spacing and said, “I was with them a lot. They put the team together to give them as much space as possible and I’m one of those guys that can, hopefully, take some pressure off of them by giving them space and being able to make plays here and there.”
Curry said “The process of getting to learn their games and where they like guys to be, where they would like to get the ball so it’s gonna take some time for a lot of new guys to get used to playing with them, but it’s exciting because anytime on the floor with two of the greatest players in the league, right now, it makes my job easier.”
Curry praised how the team was using big man Joel Embiid in their practice sessions, with simple yet effective plays. He said, “We’re getting used to playing with each other and making the right plays but that’s just a basic play in basketball that made a lot of bigs like to use especially Joel. We’re going to see a lot of that hopefully.”
It would be interesting to see where the Philadelphia 76ers and Seth Curry place themselves in the upcoming season, after forming a considerably strong roster.
