Leon Edwards has his money on the Youtube star Jake Paul ahead of his boxing match with MMA veteran, Ben Askren. Jake and Ben bump fists on April 17 in an exhibition boxing match and Leon believes things won’t end well for the veteran.

Jake Paul has very little experience in professional fighting. His last bout was against NBA star, Nate Robinson whom he knocked out in the second round. But the fight against Ben would be a huge fight for the YouTuber.

Ben Askren on the other hand does not lack experience at all. He is a former ONE FC and Bellator welterweight champion and is a favorite to win the fight by many of his colleagues. Though “Funky” hasn’t been in the best of forms lately, he’d still look to secure the bag.

Askren’s last two fights were defeats where one of them was a humiliating defeat against Jorge Masvidal. The veteran got knocked out in the first second of the fight. Leon Edwards predicts something similar to happen to Ben against Paul. Edwards gave an interview recently with TalkSport’s Alex McCarthy where he predicted the fight. “He’s going to get knocked out, I’m serious,” he said in the interview.

“Rocky” is all set to fight on the 14th of March against Belal Muhammad in the main event. Leon is coming off a lot of COVID drama since his fight against Khamzat Chimaev got canceled. Edwards has his predictions set for the fight between Jake and Ben.

The fighter said in the interview, “It’s going to be bad for MMA, man! I don’t know who agreed to this [laughs]. I don’t think it’s going to be good for MMA and he’s going to get chinned. But, it’s going to be funny to see.”

Though Askren isn’t known for his boxing skills, the 36-year old has a lot of experience on the big stage and will surely put that into good use. Who do you think is winning the match of boxing between Ben and Jake?
