“I feel emotions but nothing significant” Montrezl Harrell on playing against his former team Los Angeles Clippers

Montrezl Harrell

Montrezl Harrell clearly showcased what the Los Angeles Clippers had let go in this off-season. With Kawhi Leonard and Paul George both on the court, Clippers could not find their spark. A young and energetic Harrell was not just scoring points, but was helpful in the defense also for the LA Lakers. From the 1st quarter to the 4th every time Harrell was on the court, he did something impressive.
With Lebron James, Anthony Davis, Markieff Morris and Marc Gasol all sitting out, Lakers’ fans though it would be a dull show. But young Tucker along with experienced Kuzma and Harrell turned on their A game to trash their city rivals by a thin margin.
“I was focused on what to do” Montrezl Harrell on playing against Los Angeles Clippers
In the post-game interview, the reigning Sixth Man of the Year revealed, “I feel emotions, but nothing significant really. I came here with the mindset that I had a job to do tonight. I am here with my team, this is the Los Angeles Lakers. [I] had a game plan, I had to execute offense and defense, and that’s what my mind is focused on.”
The new entrant in the team took matters in his hands as he dropped a double-double in 30 minutes of playtime. He scored 13 points, 12 rebounds, and 2 assists to make for an all-round play. Montrezl backed his play with a mix of jump shots and power dunks that left the Clippers in pieces. To support him, Talen Horton-Tucker and Kyle Kuzma made 19- and 18-point contributions, respectively.
With such performances, Harrell had made a solid statement to his starter proposals. If he surely plays in the same form as this alongside Lebron and AD, there is no turning back for the Lakers surely.
