Jorge ‘Gamebred’ Masvidal has hit back at ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ Kamaru Usman, who recently expressed his desire to take on Jorge himself, in a rematch and finish him. Masvidal and Usman, fought back in July, 2020 at UFC 251, after Masvidal took the fight on extremely short notice, due to Usman’s original opponent Gilbert Burns pulling out due to testing positive for the coronavirus. Usman, eventually won the fight via. unanimous decision.

Speaking about that fight, Usman recently said, “I have way more tools and skills to display than what I showed, because out there, I beat him with stuff I’ve been doing for five years. It’s me versus me out there. So, there’s a potential of that fight happening again if he works himself there, but I want to do it again because I want to put an exclamation on it. I want to finish him. I want to impress myself.”

Usman also blamed it on a broken nose, prior to the fight. This didn’t sit well with Jorge Masvidal, as he took to Twitter to claim that he would take Usman’s ‘head and belt’ if he gets to train at least for three weeks.

Showed up with a nose…Left with a broken nose

Showed up with a nose. Left with a broken nose. I get at least 3 weeks I take his head and the belt“, Masvidal tweeted.

Masvidal hasn’t stepped inside the octagon since his loss against Kamaru Usman. The number 4 ranked UFC welterweight has been rumored to take on the number one ranked welterweight contender Colby Covington, since Colby has been constantly accusing Masvidal, of ducking him. Usman, on the other hand, defends his welterweight title at UFC 258, against Gilbert Burns. Should Usman beat Burns, a rematch against Jorge Masvidal is definitely a possibility.
