“I got a flamethrower”- Kevin Holland couldn’t care less about trolls pulling up to his gym for a fight

Kevin Holland
It’s out of the question which non-champion fighter in the UFC had a better 2020 other than “The Trailblazer” Kevin Holland. Despite the pandemic when it was harsh on people to continue doing what they were doing, Holland made the most of the time and went on to win 5 back to back fights in the high of the biggest challenge to the humanity of this century for sure. With that said, it’s safe and feels good to say Holland made the most money for himself and his family in times of absolute distress.

However, with exposure to higher level of opponents in 2021, Holland had a tough time securing a win due to his weaknesses being finally exposed. A magnificent striker, Holland couldn’t stand the likes of Derek Brunson and Marvin Vettori taking him and exposing him on the ground. That’s when we witnessed the evolution of the former middleweight turned welterweight through his training clips working on his grappling in his gym and also other gyms like American Kickboxing.
Now Holland, who’s secured the win in his resume over the likes of Gerald Meerschaert, Joaquin Buckley, Anthony Hernandez, Darren Stewart and Ronald Souza, recently shot himself to a little fame when he was seen via a video, schooling an online troll who challenged him for a grappling match, in grappling itself. Safe to say Holland’s game has elevated and the welterweight division should be ready for it.
Kevin Holland hopes his flamethrower is legal to keep in his hometown of Texas

Holland recently gave an interview to ESPN Correspondent Marc Raimondi detailed the entire story leading up to the fight with his troll as well as gave his thoughts on his upcoming fight against Alex Oliviera at UFC 272.
Talking about if the anonymous nature of the troll’s identity bothered him for he may carry a weapon by chance and make him hesitate a little bit, Holland responded confidently “Nah! I am not worried about that bro. I got a flamethrower. I got a real-life flamethrower… I hope it is [legal in Texas].”
What do you make of Kevin Holland’s confidence inviting in a nobody who would’ve hurt him wrongfully if the challenge was just baiting? Do you think the fighters should give a chance to trolls to prove the latter party wrong about challenging someone casually who legit fights for a living? Who do you think wins between Oliveira and Holland at UFC 272 taking place in March which is headlined by UFC Welterweights Jorge Masvidal and Colby Covington?
