‘I got him snoring’ Rafael Dos Anjos shared a video of Khabib Nurmagomedov almost tapping against him

Khabib Nurmagomedov is one of the biggest stars in the Lightweight division and in recent times it seems like everyone wants a piece of Khabib. In his latest press conference at Tashkent Khabib stated that he has no competitive interest in fighting the winner of Conor vs Dustin. But the former Lightweight champion Rafael Dos Anjos showed interest in running things down with Khabib again.
Apart from that, he makes an interesting claim with a video over Instagram that shows Khabib almost tapping out in the fight against RDA. In the video, Dos Anjos wrote, “Khabib said he is not interested in fighting Conor or Dustin as he choked both of them. He did not choke me. As a matter of fact I got him snoring until a slipping rib saved him from”
“He beat me fair and square, but no one got closer to putting the Champ out. My plan was to beat his brother and go after that neck again. That plan felt apart for reasons beyond my control, but I will keep sharping my tools just in case he decides to come back and chooses me”.
Rafael Dos Anjos clarified his claim on Twitter
Rafael Dos Anjos and Khabib Nurmagomedov fought with each other in 2014 at that time RDA was ranked 5th in the Lightweight ranking and Khabib was ranked 7th. At the end of three rounds, Khabib won the fight by unanimous decision of the judges but there was this instance when RDA almost got Khabib.
After this Instagram post, RDA also shared a tweet in clarification on his claim. RDA says, “No, he did not! It wasn’t what I said in the post, don’t twist it! I had a good position, I hurt my ribs in the fight week. I just said it could be a different story if we fight now days. It was a close but he didn’t tap”.
