‘I just think he’s too precise’ Conor’s coach claimed that Dustin can defeat him in no possible way
The much-anticipated return of ‘The Notorious’ Conor McGregor has been finalized by UFC as Conor is all set to face the number 2 ranked Lightweight fighter, Dustin Poirier. Both of them will be entering the octagon against each other almost after a decade.
Last them when they faced Conor won the fight against Poirier and his coach thinks this time there will be no difference in the previous result. Owen Roddy the striking coach of Notorious in his recent interview claimed that there is no way Dustin can defeat Conor in their rematch. Roddy claims that there is no area where Dustin can outlast Conor.
While talking to Bash MMA, Roddy says “I think Poirier’s improved an awful lot since that first fight. I think Conor has improved, you know, more, since then as well. They’re definitely better fighters than they were when they fought each other but Conor is still the better fighter. I just think he’s too precise.”
He also added, “Poirier is skillful, he’s got good hands and he’s tough and durable, and he sets a good pace but I just don’t see where he beats Conor. Conor’s just too good everywhere, too precise, and too clinical with his striking.”
Dustin Poirier is determined to take his revenge
Conor McGregor is no doubt training hard for this match but ‘The Diamond’ is also not leaving any loose end from his side. He has been training hard at various camps and Poirier is determined to take his revenge in their rematch.
While talking to MMA Junkie Poirier says, “I think if Khabib’s retired and not coming back, then I’m next in line for the title shot, and this could be the title fight. This could be for the undisputed belt.”
Well one thing is there for sure this is going to be the biggest fight in the Lightweight division for 2021 and the winner of this will get an inch closer to the championship.
