Jimmy Butler and Giannis Antetokounmpo
Miami Heat’s Jimmy Butler hypes up Giannis Antetokounmpo after he signs a mega contract extension with the Milwaukee Bucks of $228 Million for 5-years. Hyping up contest between Miami Heat and Milwaukee Bucks in the upcoming 2020-21 season, Butler is very excited to play against the reigning MVP. Heat crushed out Bucks in the previous season’s playoffs 4-1 being the underdog. While leading from the front Butler did not only win the Eastern Conference. But also showed his commitment in clutch situations is more than Giannis’.
Bucks haven’t won an NBA Championship since Kareem-Abdul Jabbar led them in 1971. Many suspect Giannis would do the same. But in consecutive playoffs Bucks have let the pressure get to them. Moreover, in back-to-back seasons, they have dominated the league, finishing as the best team.
“Giannis Antetokounmpo has done a great job” Jimmy Butler
“I know he’s a hell of a player,” Butler said in a recent interview. “He wants to be great.
Butler added, “He’s done a phenomenal job at it. They’ve got a good core group around him. It’s going to be interesting and fun to watch, but even more fun to go to battle against those guys. So can’t wait for the Heat vs the Bucks matchup.”
Having said that, after Bucks low-key performances in the playoffs and also to an extent in the pre-season initial games. It led to the Bucks management fearing Giannis would leave, and they gambled with the big trade for Jrue Holiday. It has now paid off since Giannis has signed the extension, but now they have to focus on the bigger goal: winning the title.
The Bucks have a strong lineup, but their bench falls weak compared to the other contenders. The Heat, Raptors, 76ers, and Celtics have a deeper roster. This is where Giannis has to prove to be the difference and lead from the front.
