James Krause reveals that the fight organizers have declined his offer to fight Joaquin Buckley twice. James Krause and Joaquin have both expressed their interests in fighting each other for quite a while now. James also claims to have requested the promotion to make this fight happen but that hasn’t gone according to plan.

Krause is currently fighting in the Welterweight division of the UFC and has a record of 28-9-0. The fighter is coming off a win against Claudio Silva last October. Krause sealed victory in his last bout via a unanimous decision.

Krause and Buckley have had tension between them for quite a while due to issues at their gyms in the Kansas City area. The fight had great hopes after Buckley knocked out Impa Kasanganay. However, the UFC has not shown signs to book that fight.

Joaquin had quite some hype around him when he knocked out Impa but then the fans and critics began to doubt him as Buckley got KO’s against Kevin Holland and Alessio Di Chirico. James in a recent interview with James Lynch spoke about the fight possibilities between him and Buckley.

James Krause says he would say yes if UFC offered him the fight now

Although UFC rejected the fight offer two times, James Krause in an interview with James Lynch said that he would agree to take up the fight now. However, he feels it makes no sense to him.

“I’ve done all I can to ask for it. I’m past it. I can only ask for it so many times. I’ve asked for it twice, they said they didn’t want to make it happen. It wasn’t on his end, the UFC didn’t want to make it happen. I know for a fact they never asked the UFC for that fight, though,” Krause said.

“The answer’s yes, I think it’s dead in the water. I haven’t heard anything else. I don’t see the point of it at this point. It doesn’t even make sense for anybody anymore. If it was ever thrown at me, I would for sure take it. But for me, it doesn’t make sense for a guy who is 2-2 in the UFC coming off of a knockout loss” James went on in the interview.

Do you think the UFC should have agreed to Krause’s offer?
