‘I think maybe in June but it needs a bit of time’ – Anthony Joshua on the Tyson Fury fight
Anthony Joshua feels that a fight with ‘The Gypsy King’ Tyson Fury could happen as soon as June,2021. He also revealed that conversations are going on between representatives of both the teams. The fight will be for undisputed heavyweight champion of the world, as Tyson Fury holds the WBC, The Ring magazine and lineal titles, while Anthony Joshua holds the WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and IBO heavyweight titles.
Anthony Joshua’s recent victory over Bulgarian, Kubrat Pulev all but confirmed that he would take on Tyson Fury next, and in the immediate aftermath talks of the AJ-Fury fight began. Speaking about this to Sky Sports, Anthony Joshua confirmed that he wanted to fight Tyson Fury next and that it could happen in June, 2021.

Anthony Joshua was quoted as saying, “The next fight I want is Tyson Fury, for the undisputed championship of the world…I think maybe (it happens) in June. It needs a bit of time. (But) I promise you conversations and face-to-face meetings are happening with representatives of my team and Fury’s team.”
Anthony Joshua has put the ghosts of his loss against Andy Ruiz Jr. back in 2019, June, behind and he has become a much improved fighter, ever since, following it up with victories in the rematch and against Kubrat Pulev, recently. Tyson Fury, on the other hand, has never been defeated in his entire career – a man who thought of ending his life, came back stronger than ever and went on to beat the much feared Deontay Wilder.
