Anthony Edwards sent a cold message after going 3-0 against the Suns.
The young star of the Minnesota Timberwolves Anthony Edwards is one win away from sweeping the big 3 of the Phoenix Suns. T-wolves won their third consecutive game of the series with a whopping 126-109 score over the Suns. The leading scorer of the game was certainly hyped as he showed his competitive attitude.
Anthony Edwards is doing fantastic in the first round as he has taken the Minnesota Timberwolves to their first 3-0 playoff lead in history. After his 36-point performance, Ant-Man joined Scott Van Pelt on Sports Center, where he was asked about his mentality in the so far so-successful series.
I just want to kill everything in front of me, man. That's the main thing. Pretty much, that's all it is to itAnthony Edwards on Sports Center
Edwards had an incredible season as the 22-year-old took responsibility in Karl-Anthony Towns‘ absence. Now that KAT is back, with Rudy Gobert the team looks unstoppable in the postseason. All three wins in the series so far have been in double digits.
Ant-Man is already being compared to the greats of the game. Moreover, he is on the verge of ending Kevin Durant‘s season. The player will undoubtedly take the team ahead as this playoff series win will be the Timberwolves’ first since 2004. Minnesota has the potential to make it all the way to the Western Conference finals if they perform at the same level.
Paul George warned Anthony Edwards about his trash-talking
Edwards is famous for his competitive mentality and does not budge to talk trash even to his idol Kevin Durant. During the first game of the Timberwolves-Suns series, Ant-Man went viral for his NSFW words in the game. However, a veteran of the game was not happy with Edwards’ attitude.
Edwards allegedly called the Sun’s superstar ‘old‘ which shocked the NBA world and upset the Los Angeles Clippers’ Paul George. In the star’s show Podcast P, the forward warned Edwards for his bold words.
Let’s keep it real. We are old! But you know, we are all gonna get old. Anthony Edwards gonna have his time. So be careful what you wish forPaul George via Podcast P
After the game, Edwards showed respect to Durant and called him the ‘greatest to ever do it’. The star on multiple occasions has shown admiration for his idol, hence, it is only natural for the youngster to get excited while winning over Durant. It would be interesting to see if Edwards truly manages to sweep the Suns in the next game.
