The former UFC double champion Conor McGregor fought with his biggest rival Khabib Nurmagomedov back in October 2018. The fight ended in Conor facing a humiliating loss by Khabib via submission.

Before this fight, Conor talked a ton of trash for Khabib and his father but after the fight, Khabib attacked Conor’s teammates that led him to being suspended for a year. ‘The Notorious’ disappointed many people with his performance even ‘The Eagle’ himself was disappointed.

In his recent press conference in Moscow, Khabib says “Conor’s trash talk? Yes, he had talked for a while during the fight, but when I started pushing him, he immediately switched to the ‘It’s just business’ mode, “I was even a bit disappointed. I expected him to be mentally tougher.”

“When I was ground-and-pounding him, talking to him, and he responded that it was just business, it looked like he was trying to calm me down to avoid a real beating, just like a son trying to justify himself in front of his angry father. Psychology is a very strong tool.”

Dana White will talk to Khabib about his comeback

Khabib’s retirement

Khabib last competed inside the Octagon at UFC 254, when he submitted Justin Gaethje. Immediately after this fight ‘The Eagle’ announced his retirement that left the world in shock. Conor McGregor is also making his comeback in January 2021 in a fight against Dustin Poirier.

The UFC president Dana White will look forward to convincing Khabib for his comeback, ‘The Eagle’ hasn’t vacated his UFC title till now and people are anticipating that he will come back for one last time.

If Conor vs Khabib 2 happens, it is going to be one of the biggest pay-per-views for UFC. Hope this time Conor will not disappoint his fans and Khabib.
