Football fans received their dose of excitement from the 2024-25 season. Now as the season is over, their focus will start shifting towards the upcoming season. The discussions will now shift to the likes of Shedeur Sanders and Cam Ward as they build up to the 2025 NFL draft.
There are mixed notions around the now former Colorado Buffaloes quarterback. On one hand there are many who believe that Sanders is good enough to become a franchise QB. His father Deion Sanders has been talking on those lines as he continues to engage in interviews about where he does not want his son to play.
Shedeur’s throws though are one of the best in the QB class this season, even if he does not have the throwing power as Cam Ward has. Maybe Shedeur Sanders already knows his ball skills are good enough as he has taken a decision on how to tackle the NFL combine. Insider Ian Rapoport revealed this.
Colorado QB and potential top pick Shedeur Sanders plans to focus on his interviews with teams at the NFL Scouting Combine, helping them continue to learn him as a person. He’ll allow his four years of film to speak loudly, then throw at his Pro Day with four draftable CU WRs.

Shedeur Sanders has impressed teams with his presence, poise and intelligence off the field and that should continue in Indy. https://t.co/eFamI4KLTr

NFL Network’s lead insider mentioned in a follow up post that the 23-year-old has already impressed teams with ‘his presence, poise and intelligence off the field’. Insiders and media houses generally do play a part in shaping any narrative. But fans felt this tweet was all too obvious.
Fans slam Ian Rapoport for glazing Shedeur Sanders
They believe the language in Ian Rapoport’s tweet screamed of a glowing review. Fans believe Shedeur Sanders’ tape spanning four years of football is enough for anyone to understand his flaws. They referred to his first season with the Buffaloes where he did put up big numbers, but those numbers did not result in wins.

Questions are aplenty of his ability to handle pressure in the pocket along with his decision making. Therefore, football fans believe Rapoport’s tweet shows that the QB’s PR team reached out to him. Check out examples of those discussions below.
His agent must’ve told you that

This is a PR packaged way of saying he won’t work out/compete at the Combine. https://t.co/bm4hEFWEJe

His four years of game film do speak loudly. He’s a guaranteed bust.

How much he pay you to tweet that?

How many drafts of this tweet did it take Deion and their management team to draft this love letter?

Over/Under set at 3.5 https://t.co/wJQm8xPHrn
The New York Giants are touted as a possible destination for Shedeur Sanders. His play along with his personality fit the Big Apple’s need for a superstar. However, there is no foregone conclusion at the moment as they pick 3rd in the 2025 NFL Draft.
The Tennessee Titans pick first and they have a need at quarterback. But with many executives not high on this entire quarterback draft class, they could pass on and maybe select someone else. If that happens, it could throw every team picking after them off their game.
