Everyone who has faced Michael Jordan has only come across his fierce and competitive nature on the court and dealt with complete dominance by the legendary NBA player during his time. Given that Jordan was known for his monster mentality, relentless attitude, and approach towards the sport, playing alongside him or against him, one needed to be on his toes, completely alert, no matter if he was a teammate or an opponent.
Jordan had that killer instinct all the time. But, most recently, famous rapper, Ice Cube, had an opposite take regarding meeting Jordan face-to-face for the first time back in 2006. The legendary rapper shared a great story about how he first met Jordan. Ice Cube recently mentioned in an interview with NFL veteran Julian Edelman how soft Jordan’s hands are, citing their first handshake in 1997.
I remember he shook my hand, and that sh-t felt like a baby foot or something, it was soft as fu**, like you ain’t never did an inch of work in your goddamn life. My daddy’s hands feel like a cheese grater. Your f***ing hands feel like a baby wipe. At 6’6, his sh*t was big, felt like a pillow grabbed my hand.

People typically discuss Jordan’s aura and demeanor from the moment they first met him. However, Ice Cube’s tale seems to humanize Jordan’s prowess. Jordan had already won five NBA titles with the Bulls and numerous individual honors by the end of the 1997 season. Despite that, the rapper did not stress those achievements.
He, on the other hand, saw the human and funny side of Jordan. The side that not many talk about or have witnessed. Ice Cube also shared a hilarious story regarding Jordan cracking up after watching the rapper smoke weed in the movie ‘Friday.’ Jordan could not contain his laughter, stating ‘sh* funny’ after watching Ice Cube smoke ‘a lot of weed’ throughout the movie.
Interestingly, Jordan’s name has previously been left off of Ice Cube’s list of all-time starting five, and he has also declined to provide a firm response regarding his GOAT debate with LeBron James. This demonstrates that although he backs Jordan, he does not hold him in the same regard as the majority of his admirers.
Snopp Dogg made an interesting case about the GOAT debate involving Michael Jordan and LeBron James
Just after Ice Cube made his viral comments regarding Michael Jordan’s hands, another musician and rapper, Snoop Dogg, also chimed in on matters regarding Jordan. But this was one of the most important topics, the ever-debatable GOAT debate, something that has all the fans up and arguing at any given point.
However, Snoop Dogg sees the other side of this. He recently made an interesting case about the GOAT debate.
That is hard to say because they never played in the same era and never played against the same competition. If you look at what Jordan did, he played in an era where basketball was really hard and aggressive…When you think about LeBron James and he going to three organizations, mainly organizations that were terrible and weren’t probably going to the playoffs, and then, after going to the finals and winning the finals in a two-year period, is amazing.

In all honesty, very few NBA players, much less a rapper, take the time to consider both sides of an issue. It’s difficult enough to compare entirely different eras, let alone attempt to match up superstars who couldn’t even share the floor. However, both James and Jordan’s unwavering mindset and approach still have an impact on many players who are currently playing the sport.
Magic Johnson made an honest admission regarding Michael Jordan
Two players in particular changed the definition of what the NBA was during the 1980s. In short, they defined the league. They were none other than Magic Johnson and Larry Bird, the two basketball icons. Both of them played against each other with immense rivalry and hatred, leading to major dominance of the two respected stars in the sport.
However, the sudden retirement of Magic Johnson due to being diagnosed with HIV and injuries to Larry Bird led to the retirement of both of them in 1991 and 1992, respectively. This led to the NBA having a new face of the league. That was the NBA great Michael Jordan. Notably, Johnson, back in 1996, made an interesting case on Jordan.
At that time, Michael wasn’t enjoying himself anymore. See what happened, Larry [Bird, who was in his last season] and I left and we left him. He’s the one sitting there. Now it’s just him.

To put it simply, Jordan was not having enough fun during that period, as Johnson stated. There was a lack of competitiveness around him, sucking the joy out of the Chicago Bulls legend. In addition, Johnson’s case also seems correct because of the fact that he was not having fun during that period. In addition, Johnson’s case also seems correct because he was not having fun during that period.
In addition, Johnson’s case also seems correct because too much pressure had been imposed on the Bulls legend. Mostly because there was no other player as good as Jordan during that arc. He was a walking headline, and this led to the joy being killed out of the NBA legend.
