“If I am Charles Oliveira, I will pick him,” Michael Bisping claims Conor McGregor still viable for title fight on return, sights ‘this’ reason

Conor McGregor- Michael Bisping
It would be absolutely bananas if UFC megastar Conor McGregor gets to skip the line to fight for the title, especially over Justin Gaethje, but UFC Hall of Famer Michael Bisping believes that can happen and it’s a feasible option. McGregor last fought at UFC 264 when he fractured his shin bone in the very first round after which the fight was ended and his then opponent Dustin Poirier won due to first round doctor stoppage.
Poirier then went on to fight for the title in the second title shot of his career against the reigning, defending UFC lightweight champion Charles Oliveira. To the world’s surprise Poirier tapped to Oliveira in the third round of the main event of UFC 269 and now heading into 2022, Oliveira started showing interest to be McGregor’s comeback fight and defend his title against the latter. However, Justin Gaethje, who’s coming off an incredible win over Michael Chandler at UFC 268, is the rightful next contender as far as rankings are concerned.
Michael Bisping thinks Charles Oliveira will take Conor McGregor over Justin Gaethje for next title defence

On his youtube channel, Bisping explained as to why Charles Oliveira is excited to get Conor McGregor fight and why McGregor can be getting that title fight on returning which would be more than year in the making.
“The UFC puts on the fights the people want to see and let me think, has there ever been a time where the fighter who’s not in the top 15 has fought for the title? Yes there was, it was for Georges St-Pierre,“ said Bisping who is the other half of the example he laid out. Georges St-Pierre came back after a 3 and a half year break from the sport of MMA to challenge Bisping, the then middleweight champion for the second division title of his career and won it at UFC 217.
“When you fight McGregor, it is ‘red panty night,’“, continued Bisping repeating McGregor’s infamous phrase of ‘red panty night’ that depicts fighting McGregor is always a money fight, win or lose. “There’s no bigger star, there’s no bigger prize, or brighter red panties that you could f**king get by fighting Conor McGregor.”
Bisping then concluded “And if you’re Charles Oliveira, coming from the favelas of Brazil to the hardship, the ups and downs, the adversity that he’s had in his life and you say to him ‘hey, do you wanna fight Justin Gaethje, a stone cold killer, a man with heavy hands, granite chin, crazy wrestling, or do you wanna fight Conor McGregor, a guy who hasn’t won a fight since 2016, a guy that’s recovering from a broken leg that hasn’t trained for about the last year and… has to lose all the weight?’ if I am Charles Oliveira, I am picking up Conor McGregor all day.“
What do you make of Bisping’s comments on McGregor’s chance of getting the title shot against Charles Oliveira? If that happens, we will understand that McGregor’s leverage in the fight game is something that hasn’t been seen before and won’t be seen in the coming time in the history of combat sports. Who do you think wins between Oliveira and McGregor?
