The defeat at the Australian Open 2025 semifinals marks another heartbreaking moment for the Pole this season, after she lost to Coco Gauff at the United Cup 2025 finals earlier this month. While Swiatek has many achievements to her name, the 5-time Grand Slam champion is yet to win a hard court major.

The 23-year-old is next expected to compete at the Qatar Open which will take place from February 10 to 16. Swiatek has a strong track record at this WTA 1000 event which takes place in outdoor hard court, having secured the title three consecutive times from 2022 to 2024.

Meanwhile, at the Australian Open 2025 finals, her opponent Madison Keys will face top seed Aryna Sabalenka, who is looking to secure a third consecutive Australian Open title. This marks the American’s first Australian Open final and her second Grand Slam final, with the first one being the 2017 US Open finals.
