Iga Swiatek is the face of the WTA this year as she cemented her place as No.1 after winning her maiden Madrid Open. Besides tennis, she is the new queen of fashion as she is set to feature in Poland’s top fashion magazine Elle Polska.

She first featured in Elle Polska in the 2022 January issue (despite being released in November 2021) months after winning the Italian Open in Rome that year. Then, she had just finished the year for the first time in the Top 10 at No. 9 position. Since then, she has remained a bright spark in women’s tennis, improving in her game in every tournament.

This year, she will feature in the top fashion magazine again following her impressive start of the season. The 22-year-old proved how great a warrior she is after beating Aryna Sabalenka 7-5, 4-6, 7-6 (7) in a tense three hours and 11 minutes final to claim the Madrid Open title. She now has 30 wins and only three defeats this season.

She began the year relatively slowly after exiting in the second round of the Australian Open. She bounced back the following month, winning the Doha title. Despite exiting the Dubai Tennis championship semifinal, she went on to win the Indian Wells Masters. She now has three Masters 1000 titles this season and has won all the WTA Masters at least once except Dubai, Cincinnati, and Canada.

Swiatek will be hoping to win the Rome Masters title, reclaiming her 2021 and 2022 success in the Italian capital. She’s projected to face Sloane Stephens in the second-round match before meeting Ekaterina Alexandrova in the third round, who upset her at the same stage of Miami in March.

However, Elle Polska is yet to release a date for the publication featuring Iga Swiatek as the compilation is still in process.
