Iga Swiatek has always been unstoppable on clay courts and she has continued her form in the French Open as well. Though she almost lost against Naomi Osaka in the second round, she managed to save her title and ever since has been more dominant than ever.

Recently, she beat Anastasia Potapova, in 40 minutes to record her fastest-ever match. With a double bagel win, Swiatek made her way into the quarter-finals of the French Open. In the post-match interview, she spoke about how she was shocked by the victory given that Potapova used to beat her in the junior stages.

The Pole said that they had always played each other in the juniors, where the Russian used to come back from match point down to beat Swiatek. However, now it was a perfect revenge for the WTA No.1, who beat her rival in straight bagel sets.

I don't think I won against her, and I lost some heart-breaking matches for me. Like semifinal of the Orange Bowl when I had match point, and I lost here when I had a pretty good tournament, and I lost against, yeah, Potapova and couple more. We always played against each other, like, European championships or something.

Swiatek has now moved into the quarter-final of the French Open and is only a couple of matches from defending her title and winning a career fifth slam. She will take on Wimbledon champion Marketa Vondrousova for a spot in the last four.

Coco Gauff was surprised after Iga Swiatek finished the match in 40-minutes

Iga Swiatek beat a familiar face Anastasia Potapova in straight sets. The match was over in 40 minutes, forcing the next set of players to prepare on time. It was her rival Coco Gauff, who had to play her fourth round match next.

Yeah, I mean, I figured that the match --usually if you're after her, you know it's probably going to be a quick match. So I figured the match would probably go an 1 hour and 15… an hour at the quickest. I definitely wasn't expecting 40 minute.

Luckily, the American was not affected as she had predicted the match to be over fast. Soon, she was on the court and had played another quick match to make her place in the quarter-finals. Although it was not as fast as Swiatek, Gauff played well to advance to the next round.
