Iga Swiatek has a special message for Polish Volleyball team after their loss to France in Paris Olympics Gold medal match
The Men's French Volleyball team were just too strong for the Poland team, who were swept by the hosts, however, Iga Swiatek was there to cheer them on.

Tennis World No.1 Iga Swiatek has congratulated Poland’s men’s volleyball team despite their runners-up finish at the Paris Olympics. The Polish team were torn apart 0-3 by France, eventually claiming silver, while the French defended their Tokyo 2021 gold medal.
Bronze medalist Swiatek was with the Polish men’s team when they ended their 44-year drought of not advancing past the quarterfinals of the Olympics. The tennis star celebrated with them after beating Slovenia 3-1 to book a place in the semifinals. The team continued in their thrilling fashion by coming from behind to beat USA 3-2 and advance to the gold medal match.
In the final, France was the favorite to claim the gold in front of their rocking home fans. Poland Volleyball men’s team were given no cushion from the start of the match as the French team claimed the first set, 25-19. They continued their dominance in the second set, winning 25-20, and concluded the match with a thrilling 25-23 to win their 15th gold medal at the Paris Olympics.
France became the third country to defend the men’s volleyball Olympic gold medal, the first since the United States did it 36 years ago. Swiatek, who has been a huge fan of the team congratulated them for their efforts on social media.

Iga Swiatek secures qualification for the prestigious season-ending WTA Finals for the fourth consecutive time
Iga Swiatek is the first player to secure qualification for the season-ending WTA Finals in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It is the Polish star’s fourth consecutive appearance at the prestigious event. She won the title last year after beating Jessica Pegula in straight sets.
She has won four titles this year, including the French Open in June. She has also been World No.1 since the start of the season. The Pole was in great form during the clay season picking up three titles out of a possible six, and revealed it was a great feeling to qualify for the fourth consecutive time.

Swiatek won bronze at the Paris Olympics after losing to China’s Zheng Qinwen in the semifinals. She withdrew from the Canadian Open but will feature in the Cincinnati Open ahead of the US Open, which gets underway on August 13.
