Two-time defending champion Iga Swiatek is back in Paris and is in prime position to make it three in a row. She arrived in the city just days after her triumph in Rome and has kicked off her practice sessions ahead of the first round, which is scheduled to be played at the start of next week. 

Rocking her much-anticipated new kit from On Running, the World No. 1 was seen taking to the courts to hit with a new, very famous personality.

‘F.R.I.E.N.D.S.’ star Courtney Cox was on the other side of the court, engaging Swiatek in a lighthearted session during a campaign for the apparel brand.

Interestingly enough, “Monika” kept up with Swiatek in a short rally and was cheered on by those gathered around asking the sidelines. The two stars of their respective domains were then seen having a conversation where Cox is likely encouraging Swiatek to do well in the French Open with a literal pat on the back.

Iga Swiatek, is quite the movie buff, book lover, and web series aficionado. She is known for her book-reading challenges for fans and pop culture references.

Naturally, Swiatek had watched the hit comedy series ‘Friends’ growing up and spoke about how she was a huge fan of it after Matthew Perry’s unfortunate passing last year. She said the show provided her comfort during her teenage years. 

Decades after the show stopped airing, Swiatek got a chance to interact and play tennis with one of the main actors from the popular sitcom, Courtney Cox.

As part of a campaign for her sponsors, On Running, Swiatek was provided with the opportunity of a lifetime to shoot with an icon whom she grew up watching and admiring.
