In what was a rare occurance, he also revealed that the knockdown Khabib Nurmagomedov scored on him in their clash at UFC 229 was not counted. “The 4th knockdown in the Eddie fight wasn’t officially scored. Neither was the khabib overhand. Both of them were knockdowns though,” McGregor tweeted.

He also went on to say that he would have got the record of the “Most Knockdowns in a UFC title fight”, had the knockdowns on Alverez been counted.
