Shaquille O’Neal also known as “Shaq” and “DJ Diesel” is a retired National Basketball Association player and a legendary Hall of Famer as he is the most dominant force ever seen in the league. In his retirement, Shaq has turned into a businessman, musician, and NBA analyst as he still loves to be around the game and enjoy it. Recently, like every other day he once again made it to the headlines as a take of his on the Lakers firing their head coach Frank Vogel stands viral all over the internet. He himself is a Laker Legend as he won multiple championships at Los Angeles Lakers playing alongside Kobe Bryant and established himself as one of the greatest centres to ever play the game. But the Lakers this season have been very disappointing for everyone around them as they had a season failure when they were supposed to lift the championship up.

The Los Angeles Lakers are out of the playoffs and the season ends for them as it’s an official wrap forced by the Phoenix Suns who threw them out of the picture for the play-in tournament. LeBron James is the only player from the roster who did his job and tries to win as many games as he can but due to the sleeping supporting cast, he won’t be a part of the post-season. The team showcased how consistently inconsistent they are when it comes to winning games and improving their record this season. It was a major failure on the individual levels by the players in the team who were hand-picked by the front office, General Manager, owner Jeanie Buss and of course LeGM (LeBron James). But Frank Vogel paid the price and got a disrespectful punishment as he was officially fired by the team on Monday after they called it a wrap.

The news trends all over the internet as many believe the head coach Frank Vogel just got scapegoated for the mistakes done by the veteran roster. Even Shaquille O’Neal shares the same view as on the recent segment of his podcast which goes by the name of “The Big Podcast with Shaq” he discussing the situation criticized the team and also answered what would he had done if he was Frank Vogel and stick in the very same situation.

Shaquille O’Neal discussing the situation and adding what would he had done in it quoted: “If I was Frank, as soon as they ask me, ‘Naah, they didn’t tell me anything, but they gonna have to tell me, because I quit.’ … I would’ve quit. I would have been like, ‘I quit, and all the other coaches thinking about coming to take this job, don’t waste your time.’ That’s what I would’ve did. ‘You wanna disrespect me and tell the media I’m getting fired? Naah, I ain’t getting fired, I quit.'”

Shaq was just being himself throughout and we can believe him pulling that off. As he isn’t someone who wouldn’t stand against disrespect towards him for things he didn’t really do. Frank Vogel though also had some mistakes like not having a proper line-up to start games and win them. But again this comes at the roster and the players the front office got him. Under his coaching during the bubble season the Lakers got themselves a championship and now spectating them part ways that too in such a disrespectful manner where he got the news from a tweet and not the team. Even though it was leaked out in the air for weeks is just sad for everyone around the franchise.
