I’m happy with my decision: Kawhi Leonard has no regret staying with the Los Angeles Clippers

Los Angeles Clippers’ marquee player Kawhi Leonard reveals that he has made the right decision by staying in the franchise and has no regrets for it. The LA clippers lost to the Denver Nuggets after being the favourites to lift the championship in the previous season. The major reason being Paul George and Kawhi Leonard not being able to lead the franchise is pressurised situations. After evidently failing to play well, Kawhi specially came under a lot of scrutiny.
While many suggested that the Clippers has been the biggest flop-show in the NBA Bio-Bubble, Clippers made a huge front office change by letting Doc Rivers go in this off season. Not only that, the Los Angeles Clippers started the pre-season in more than humiliating fashion with two back-to-back defeats against the LA Lakers, when Lebron and AD did not even play in both.
“They did a great job last year” Kawhi Leonard on Los Angeles Clippers
After the humiliating exit from the last season’s playoffs, on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Kawhi was asked if playing against the Lakers in the preseason makes him regret not joining them.
“No, (I have no regrets), not at all. I’m happy with my decision. They did a great job last year. They did their thing,” Leonard said.
There is no doubt that Kawhi is one of the best defenders in the league. But has he made the right choice staying in a team that is not helping him in any form? That remains the main question as of now. The LA Clippers face the LA Lakers yet again in their first season encounter on December 22. Kawhi would surely want to pull up his socks after a disappointing pre-season to give some answers to his critics.
As the season opener inches closer, who do you think will triumph over the other? The Lakers or the Clippers?
