“I’m over Tom Brady” Shannon Sharpe dismisses speculation about the GOAT returning

Tom Brady and Shannon Sharpe

Tom Brady retiring from the NFL still feels unreal. For 22 years he lit up the league and provided performances no one had ever seen before. But now, it truly is over. Or is it?

There has been a lot of speculation since the quarterback announced his retirement that he wasn’t truly done with the sport. Some rightly feel that he has so much more still left in him and that his decision wasn’t what he truly feels.

Recently, Shannon Sharpe commented on the future of the future Hall of Famer and he very clearly believes Tom Brady is done with the NFL.

In a segment of Fox Sports’ ‘Undisputed’ Shannon Sharpe was quoted saying “The things that drove him(Tom Brady) away from the game, are still in place if he were to come back. He mentioned the people that have been so supportive of him over the last decade, mainly his wife and kids, will they not need any more support if he were to come back?”

Sharpe further added “Normally, we would ask him two or three months from now about a possible return, we got 72 hours from his retirement and he’s already saying never say never (about a possible return). For a guy who didn’t want any attention, he seems to be wanting a lot of attention now.”

What we know for sure is that Tom Brady is retired and is very unlikely to play in the 2022 season. However, if he keeps up his training and recovery methods, maybe one day down the line we’ll see Brady suit up again. But, it has to be said that the likelihood of that is also extremely low.
